These type 316 stainless steel carriage bolts are designed for salt water or chlorinated water applications. They have a square neck to help keep the bolt in place during installation. Commonly used in treated lumber these bolts have a completely smooth head NOTE: (316 IS STAMPED ON THE HEAD). Length is measured from underneath the head and includes the square neck.
